Benefit to Adding an 11.5 or 12.5 Pistol?

Hello guy I just put together an AR15 Pistol from PSA with a 10.5" barrel. I also have 3 14.5" AR15 to go along with my new pistol build. Any benefit to going up to and putting together another Pistol with an 11.5 or 12.5 inch barrel?

You will likely achieve some greater velocity the longer you go.

Considering I have 3 myself, I wanted to have similar capabilities.

Based on my readings here at M4C, a 11.5" 5.56mm seems to be the best compromise between short barrel and performance.

    ...

    ...is that a 3-point sling?

It is a spectre SOP sling.

I put the same upper on mine, why go longer if it works?

I agree. I see no substantial velocity differences between a 10.5, 11.5, and 12.5 upper. I see a lot of folks see the 10.5 as "the sweet spot" in barrel lengths for AR pistols.

There's no benefit unless you're going to SBR it

Agree. No sense in doing this to me for 2" since I already have 3 14.5's
