    It's really straightforward when you look at the structure inside the front of the handguard. The hard part is getting tools in there. I didn't have a dremel, but that would make things much easier. If I wasn't trying to go super cheap, I'd have just gotten a MI keymod 2-piece rail. The Magpul hg is fine, it's just a little bulkier than I'd like.

    My current AR is a "beater" that I built up from parts I had on several other rifles that didn't make the cut. It's my favorite AR to date that I've owned. Shoots really well and is relatively handy. Looks really nice for it's intended purpose.
