I am no billionaire, that is for sure. There are less expensive axes that would no doubt work as well, if not better for say processing firewood. But I have this one and this is likely what it will be used for. The price is hard to swallow, but it depends on how you look at it. I have a custom 1911 that does not get shot much. But I still shoot it and carry is on occasion.

The Combat Axe is more reasonably priced.

Specific groups get issued and carry Winkler products. The price is irrelevant for these groups; most people can get by with a CRKT knock-off made in China, but it will never be a Winkler.

It's designed for that as well for use as a breaching tool.

    Dude!

I love that Combat Axe with maple handle. That is going to be my next blade purchase.

That is an amazing collection. I met Daniel Winkler a month or so ago at The Epicurean Edge here is the Seattle area. He was a really humble, and down to earth dude.

Congrats! I've wanted a Winkler tomahawk for years now but could never bite the bullet on the price. I have zero practical use for one, it's purely a want. I scratched my itch with a CRKT Kangee.
