    Best 6.8 Magazines

Who makes the best 6.8 mags? I'm putting together a 6.8 build, but I haven't heard much about who makes good 6.8 mags.

Barrett and PRI run the best; others less so.

I like the Barrett because they make the 30 round 6.8 mag, but the PRi mags I have used have performed flawless too.

    I have PRI's and 2 5-round C-products mags(for hunting).
I would stay away from CP high caps.
I'm happy with my PRI's but I'll probably get 1 Barrett for a primary to be kept in the weapon.

While my sample size is much smaller than that of some, I have 5 new CProducts 25rd mags I have been running for 6 months, without issue.

Here has been my experience with 6.8mm mags.

Early CProducts 6.8 mags needed a feed lip tweak to run 100%. Current production runs great out of the box (25 round mags). I couldn't get the straight bodied 20's (actually holds 16) to run at all when I tried them while the curved 20's run great. The CP 25 round mags are all I shoot now for my 6.8mm's (I have well over 30). I have a couple of the curved 20's as well that work great.

While a lot of people seem to have good luck with the PRI's I have not. The very early mags (I'm talking late 2004 here) had some feed issues and when I tried them again recently to give them another shot the 3 that I bought wouldn't drop free from any of my guns. I've heard that the latest with the "waffle" pattern are excellent, but haven't had a chance to try them. Maybe I'll buy a few at SHOT Show this year.

I've heard that the Barret mags are the best on the market, but have not tried them due to cost and the fact that they are longer than a standard mag.

    My PRI's work great

I have 4 C - Products 25rd and never have any problems. I also have 2 PRI 25 rd mags and no problems - but the PRI are much more difficult to load to a full 25 - takes megaforce thumb pressure vs easy with the CP.

    6.8 SPC Mags:

    1. Barrett - the best hands down 100% (only trust your life 6.8 mag)
    2. New PRI Waffle
    3. Old PRI (many tight in magwell)
    4. 2nd Gen C-Products curved (better with new ISMI springs)
    5. 1st Gen C-Products curved (with tweaks, feedlips and ISMI springs)

    Failure

C-Products straight 20rd style, problems, and more problems, avoid.
