My version of a Bada$$ SPR rifle. Need scope recommendations

Ok,, It's nothing groundbreaking but Here's my version of a badass spr or general purpose rifle. It'll be my only rifle (for awhile)
    Goals with the rifle:
range- out to 600 yards+ shooting steel.
    informal training/ practicing some drills.
    Coyote/varmint hunting

    the build.
    Vltor mur receiver
Larue Stealth 18" w/larue lopro gas block
    Wilson Accu-tac fh
    Solgw BCG/bcm CHARGING
    G-mk4 13"
    STI forged lower
    G-Ssa
    Solgw lpk
    Bcm tube/Stock
    G-super 42 spring/ buffer

    Weight without sling 7lbs-6oz

Now I need a scope. And maybe some offset bius?
I have a 600 dollar gift card to cabelas to use for glass. I'm really looking at the Leupold vx-r patrol 3-9x40 tmr/dot. I think it would fit the goal pretty good and it's in the budget. I looked at one today, it seems pretty high quality, light, short, small. Although The reticle might be a tad thick. The illunimated dot is cool. Being able to send for custom turrets, is appealing. I can handload some 77gr for instance.

I didn't know that some offset/45° bius wouldn't fit on the vltor upper until after I purchased it. Really like the magpul pro, do they fit?

Any other scope recommendations? (That cabelas sells)

    Edited final pic.

I think Cabela's can order the Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 FFP.

Ive got one on my "SPR" and I see a ton of guys running them that dont want to/cant pony up for the NightForce.

That's a good option. They still have it as in stock on their website. 799.. is it worth 200 bucks more than the leupy. Ffp, I'd have to see how big the reticle gets at 10x

Wait for the Gen II PST's to drop in the coming months until you buy a PST.

Gen 2 2.5-10ffp looks great, way more streamlined, rzr turrets. 1200+ msrp though, wonder how much street price will be. Also heavy, 26.3 Oz. I'm sure it's durable.

    The vx-r is 15.3 oz

Keep an eye on Slickguns. They post Cabela's deals when they come up and Vortex scopes are often featured. Nice looking rifle btw.

Ive got a leupy 1.25-4x VXR patrol so I am sure similar glass to the 3-9. Its good glass.

The Viper PST 2.5-10x32 FFP is at least as good if not slightly better. Im not a glass whore though and its really hard for me to tell a lot of differences until you get into like 2500-3500 dollar scopes.

As far as the reticle, at 10x it fills the eye box just like an SFP scope does all the time so no worries there.

Still considering the vx-r, but now I'm really thinking about the Nightforce shv 3-10x42 Moar.

I have a direct relative that works at one of THE major hunting superstore/gun retailers. Discount on leupy and nightforce is pretty good, discount on vortex is unreal!

So any pst scope would be way cheaper.
