    Too close?

Suppressor is .0075 away from rail, too close?

Why would it be too close?

Are you worried about heat transfer?

It will make contact. You should shoot it and let us know.

I'd grab the handguard in one hand, and grab the can in the other and push firmly a couple different directions, causing the barrel to flex. If the handguard and suppressor do not touch while doing this then they won't touch during firing(unless a piece of debris gets in there) . Also, after shooting take a look for evidence of contact.

Also, how do you get the suppressor on the barrel with so little clearance? If I remember right, when I put my SOCOM can on, I slide it on, then as I tighten the ring the ring screws into the can, which reduces the amount which would hit your handguard.

This^^. If you can't get it to touch with flexing the barrel you are good. Also, if you are that close, loosen up the rail clamping bolts on the barrel nut and make sure the rail is pushed towards the upper receiver as much as possible and re-tighten.. sometimes you can get a few thousands of an inch. And looks like you may need it.

It's too late. Your only course of action is to scrap the entire weapon and start over.

Also, is your gas block like 1" from the muzzle?

I have a Mk18 that I was able to change mounts to get the extra space I needed. I have a DD10.3 and RISII rail, AAC M4-2000. I had seen that exact configuration in multiple pics but my can hit the rail. AAC makes several mounts, so I traded mounts until I found a winner. It's perfect now, super close but foes not interfere.

    Good luck.

Maybe it's a 300BLK with a pistol length gas system?
I've seen where someone filed down the inside of the rail or the end of the hand guard to clearance for fitment, as well as using a band saw could take a bit off the end of the hand guard. Those may not be the best ideas. You can always get the next shorter rail from SLR.

Good point. I can EASILY flex my barrels WAY more than .0075" I can't imagine this set up not contacting.
