Radian/AXTS just announced they will be building rifles in this caliber.
Not for me... I'm committed to .223/5.56, and the benefits aren't nearly enough to justify the costs of dealing with other cartridges/mags/uppers.
On the other hand, if I were to go bigger than 7.62/.308, then it would be the Nosler 33.
I picked up a dummy round of this cartridge at SHOT this past week and was surprised to see how radically the rim was rebated. Apparently the idea was to allow the use of 5.56/.223 bolts as opposed to the 6.8 diameter. Other than that the cartridge has a visually appealing profile, if looks could kill :-) As to velocity claims and such, since the cartridge has more available powder space yes it should drive bullets down the bore at a faster pace. Personally if I was looking for more power I would opt for a 6.5 Grendel.
Ah... 2750. I was off by a hundred. So this round gets nice velocity... but worth the baggage? Maybe for some shooters.

I'd like to play with one if good barrels become available. All I need is a barrel and some magazines. Already have an upper I can use to build on.
What does this really offer over a .223 AI (Ackley improved) wildcat? I understand you are going to get more powder volume, but is the headache of yet another caliber warrant the investment over what is currently available in the wildcat market?
