I really hope they'll do this in 6mm next, promote the 6 Hagar, or make a 6mm Grendel standardized.

Precisely the thoughts of several very serious guys who have made them and shoot them. In fact, a few use them to win high power matches fairly regularly. A few versions already exist they're just not SAAMI'd and made by recognizable, higher production volume companies. 6mm WOA, 6mm PDK, 6x6.8, and .240 Tomahawk are all 6.8 SPC necked down and reshaped and they perform fantastically well. 6 Hagar is the same parent case, the .30 Remington, but left a little longer to have even more case capacity. The only thing any of them have wrong with them at all is that they're obscure and more or less proprietary instead of made by 2-5 companies known to folks who've never seen anything not sold in their local gun store.
In fact, even the .22 necked down 6.8 already existed, but with the same situation: nobody's heard of the .22 PDK or .220 Thunderbolt, but everybody knows Nosler.

We have 4150 Melonite treated barrels shooting well under MOA with 69s and 77s now. Looking at the case capacity to bore area ratio they should last much longer than a 243 and maybe only 25% less than a 223. The problem with the 45mm long 22 Nosler brass is it is limited to the same bullets the 223 is. 77 and down. The 77TMK is really too long to get the bullet near the lands at mag length. If we cut the front of the mags out and load to 2.34" OAL we can get close and accuracy improves.
There have been several 22, 6mm, 6.5mm, and 30 cal cats based off the 6.8 and Grendel brass around for 10 years. Some that are 43mm and longer will limit us to what bullets can be used at mag length. These are short enough to use long high BC bullets.
