After the tornado wrecked our house, I stored most of my guns at a local storage facility. I crammed my big safe and three security cabinets into a small climate controlled unit. There was a primary secured entrance to the units with each unit having a roll up security door. I brought everything in under cover of darkness, did same when I moved it out of there. No muss, no fuss.

I found a place that looks promising for storage.

I call it precious, because it is. My computers are also my preciousess (My apologies to those that lack humor) and so are my knives.

Thanks and have a great day!

And no I do not own a motel and neither does anyone in my family to me knowledge.

My rifle case is from the manufacturer of precious. I was thinking about just tying a blanket or towel around it.

Are there no hiding places in your house that you can use? When I was a teenager living at home, there were numerous places that my parents would never access. Hide it and say 'it's at a friend's'.

And get rid of the way too obvious OEM cheap plastic case. Break it down and put it in a cheap tool/carpet/gym/tennis/duffel bag.

There is truth here. I have a friend who used to hide Belgian FALs under his parents bed for just that reason. And it wasn't that his parents were anti gun as much as anti him buying everything under the sun, still the point remains. Open your mind and put some thought into it.
