    Oh yeah. In Sep 2014 I paid a tad over a 1,000.00 for my basic Colt O1970A1CS from Buds. That was a decent price at the time.

    Don't go for a Phillipines 1911. If you have a nice 1911, you will not be satisfied in the long run. If plain Jane on a budget is what you want, scour local ads, gunshow, classifieds for a milspec Springfield.
