If the port is .081, I would probably run an A5H3 and even an A4. But, I would start with the ejector spring first.

Yeah something is funky with the ejector. To have your spent casings eject that far forward and only going three feet is pretty odd with 5.56 ammo. Would definitely start with MegademiC's & IG's advice on checking the ejector and spring and cleaning out the ejector opening in the bolt.

We've never heard of a report of "overgassed" on the mid length barrels.

To mirror other's posts, the ejector seems to be not up to the task.

I agree that it sounds like the ejector. Pull the carrier out of the rifle and load an empty case in the bolt. Place the rim of the case under the extractor and pies the case against the bolt face with your finger. Now, flick your finger off the case mouth. The ejector should fling the case a good distance across the room

Thanks for the help. I don't trust brownells springs. I got a sprinco green spring and it seemed heavier than my brownells chrome silicon rifle length. The ejector spring was also the issue in my brownells bolt. I just slapped in my bcm bolt and it worked fine. I'll install my new ejector spring when it gets here. Thanks for your help!
