This is what the HK reminds me most of:
Looks like the hk has an Al lower so it scores points there. If only they didn't but that changing handle where accessories are supposed to go. At least the Radom moves it back a bit.
HK sells the mr223a3 and hk243 in Europe to consumers with 11" chrome lined barrels. There is no reason that they can't at least get chrome lined barrels to the US. Every other company has cracked that nut and hk already has the guns available in other markets. I am no longer making excuses for them as they are tired. I hope their new plant shows the commitment of their new management to the US market and they wont squander their position like did before now that they have a cash infusion from the French. For the first time in a while their credit was upgraded and they are no longer swirling in the toilet bowl. But they haven't climbed out yet.
Looks almost ACRish in several ways, with what looks like a removable lower handguard and a forward mounted reversible charging handle. I'm definitely interested in seeing more.
Speaking of the MSBS, what happened to that thing? I remember seeing it all over SHOT show coverage last year and yet this year it was no where to be seen. Did it fall off the face of the earth or what?
Looks like they got their keymod facing the correct way now.
Will be released in the U.S. as the HK 519 at the 2018 Shot Show.
During 2021, it will still not be available for sale.
Other companies move much faster and appreciate the civvie market.
Don't hold your breath.
