    Not that I have seen. It is more of a comfort thing that I can tell. I have use both the Airframe and the Ops-Core . They are a little lighter but I like the ACH. I do have a completely upgraded suspension system and added rails.

    As for extra ballistic protecion, I have seen no difference. It is not that much less. I just like it because I want my ear pro and helmet to be completely separate items to be used alone or together.

    With the pads, harness, manta strobe, G66 mount, Peltor IV's mounted via the rail, PVS-31 w/ battery pack - a few ounces over 4 lbs.
