    Without confirmation from the factory, we can only speculate on what the actual powder is. Good luck getting them to tell you their secret. After all, they want to sell the ammo and not have someone make an exact copy. I speculate AA2495 is a close description to TAC as well. Good luck on your research.

    Yep, The factory will not confirm the type of propellant used - for the reason you noted. I began this thread because I hoped that someone might possibly know the answer. You'd be surprised how sometimes this sort of information is known by someone, somewhere. I assumed that TAC was used but this is surely an unvalidated assumption. I have loaded what I hope will be a good clone and when the weather is favorable, I will test it. It would be nice to have more confidence that I have guessed correctly but it is what it is.

    While we are on the subject, my interest has been piqued by how a person could try to verify a given powder. I suppose with the right equipment you could pull 10 Rounds and find the powder closest to it in a volume as well as charge weight. With simple lab equipment you could easily get the volume measured.
