Questions regarding pinning and welding muzzle devise on barrel?

I thought you can't have any muzzle device in NY on an AR now? No brake, no flash hider, no compensator, no threaded barrel able to accept either. I guess unless it has no other features and no detachable magazine. Or registered lower? Not sure how it works.

If it's not a semi auto the barrel can be threaded and have removable (IIRC) muzzle brakes, compensators and I believe flash hiders too. If it's a removable box feed semi auto it has to be registered and can have pretty much any removable muzzle devise other then a suppressor.
