Did Surefire stop making SOCOM mounts?

From what I have read, Surefire was going to include them with their new socom cans, but SF dropped the price of the suppressor instead. They are difficult to find, but check with every online retailer out there lol, bound to be a couple.

Yeah I'm usually able to dig up some pretty rare stuff but I haven't had any luck so far. At least not new and in 5/8-24. Also I need the muzzle brake to avoid having to clean out the mounting surfaces every time I swap hosts, so CT, 3P, and WC are a no-go.

I have had some in backorder since June. I keep getting the ship date pushed back every couple months. Was supposed to ship in September , then early December , then January , now supposedly late March

I've noticed a few trickling in on Gunbroker, but not for any caliber/thread pitch that I need. And I'm not paying $180 for a used 5/8-24 brake.

1/2-28 brakes show up in batches of 7 or 8 every now and then but usually sell out almost instantly.

That was about the time that they really dried up I think. I was looking for one around that time frame and ended up taking a major gamble ordering from Botach. They had, from what their inventory said, thirty left when I ordered. It showed up two weeks later. I haven't really seen them anywhere since then. Their suppressors are equally as difficult to find. I've been trying to hunt down a SOCOM 556-Mini2 for a decent price with no luck..

I just bought an RC2 from SS, and a SF3P was included in the purchase. I've seen many SF3P available through a few websites. I was not aware there was a shortage?

Yea, I was referring to the brakes. The 3's I've seen pretty regularly. I'd love if SF started pumping out brakes and closed tine warcomps to meet the demand. I'd love to have a few closed tine WC's.
