This is a "must do" for any FAL guys in the Southeast. Or the world, for that matter.

    Details?
"You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn't wear a veil
... you know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway. So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them."

One "action" stage - typical time is around 5 minutes to complete, and it's not uncommon to melt off handguards and shoot 100 rounds or so. Something like this:

There's also a "target" phase of the match that doesn't get talked about as much as the action phase, but counts for HALF of your score. You have three minutes total to shoot ten rounds standing (mag change), ten rounds sitting (mag change), and ten rounds prone. All at an NRA SR1 bullseye target. It's kind of like shooting Highpower Rifle on crack with a battle axe.

It's held every year at River Bend Gun Club (http://www.rbgc.org/) near Dawsonville, GA, and has turned into the premier "FAL only" event in the nation. It's as much a social event for FAL folks as it is a match. I don't remember the match fee, but it's not much - maybe $25?
