Eotech still a no-go or?

I have used EOTECH several times for and have done my best to like them, but... I still vastly prefer the simplicity of a single red dot. Under stress, it is just WAY easier, in my opinion, to put dot on target, shoot. Rinse. Repeat as necessary. YMMV.

Or to put it more bluntly:

AIMPOINT ALL THE WAY.

Not a range NINJA, but I was a Paratrooper and shot a dude with an EOTech on my rifle once. It was cool.

Stay in you’re lane there buddy. But I do agree, Aimpoint is a solid option.

It's good that we have options and a free market economy in which to buy whatever we want. With respect, genuinely, please shoot and enjoy your rifle, because I have no doubt it will serve you well.

But contrary to lore, an EOTech won't commit suicide just from looking at it. Anything made by man can and does fail, and I've seen plenty of M68s that were down. Doesn't mean the CompM4 is a piece of shit, just that bad things happen and it's just part of it.

I have no real skin in this, as I went from a T-2 and magnifier to a Razor 1-6. But having used both Aimpoints and EOTechs on work and personal rifles, both have benefits and will serve us well.

To be more constructive, My main hangup on Aimpoints is they give me (speaking for me) this scope peering tunnel vision which I dont like..

I could use it if I had to but I dont like it.

EOTech works and I dont get this eye strain. It is, for lack of better analogy, like a video game sight. I dont find it busy at all. Depending on distance, anything within the circle is gonna catch a bullet.

Aimpoint isnt bad and I'm not saying I havent or wouldnt use one but on my own dime; I want a sight that is comfortable and easy.

Its just a RDS, not a religion.

I still use old scopes from the 70s on an old bolt action.

Works for me.
