None, other than the fact that you have amassed multiple components which may not be playing well together. Without knowing specifics about that upper, gas port sizing, etc... it's hard to say what happened.

Some pics would be wonderful. When you say 3 oz buffer, are you saying carbine?

    I swapped ejectors, same problem.

    I swapped extractors, same problem.

Tried 3 different buffer springs, same problem.

I examined the buffers. The 3 ounce buffer has a hard rubber/polymer end. The H2 buffer, the rubber/polymer is mostly worn away. The H2 buffer is about 3/16ths of an inch shorter than the other. I am thinking this may be the problem. I am leaning towards buying another H2 buffer and trying it.

Your black buffer appears to be a fake. Is there a roll pin securing the rubber buffer?

    Wow.

Very first time I have ever witnessed that. It does look like a soft rubber was used.

    Weird as hell.

Yes, there is a roll pin. I usually buy quality, or what I think is quality. In this case, I thought a buffer is a buffer and bought it on eBay. Lessons learned and like bridges burned.

Hopefully you didnt overpay for it? If it wasn't long ago, ask for a refund. Claim the item wasnt as described if they claim it was mil spec as it's obvious it doesn't meet that criteria. Thankfully ebay has some good buyer protection, usually. Firearms items are always a hit or miss with paypal. Who is also ebay now.

I bought it in April. I sent the seller a message. I don't expect that he will respond. It was only $20, an inexpensive lesson.

I have heard good things about Spike's buffers. What other brands should I consider?

    I appreciate your help.
