    Arsenal AK question

I recently acquired a now-discontinued SA M-7 Classic with blond furniture. Does anybody know if muzzle nut is removable on these? I tried (admittedly, without tools), but it appears to be rock-solid there. I wonder if using a wrench or other tool would be safe; I don't want to ruin the barrel.

On remotely related note, Arsenal's website shows new offering - very limited edition AK SBR with milled receiver. Looks cool, although I wonder how 7.63x39 performs out of short barrel.

If the Classic was made prior to Sept. 14 2004, then it's a post ban rifle and the muzzle nut is blind pinned on.

If it was made after the end of the AWB, then it will come off easily.

    Remember, 14/1mm left hand threads.....so righty-loosey, lefty-tighty.

If it's a post ban, you can carefully drill the welded blind pin off and then replace the muzzle nut.

Thank you. My appears to be post-ban, so it should come off OK.

I plan on trying FCS47 comp by PWS. I know, it'll ruin the look, but I am really curious how it works.

I have an Arsenal Classic. This is your rifle to do with what you please but if it were me I would leave it alone.
