    Best 10mm load w/ Titegroup or 800x.

    Hey guys,

Picked up a Colt Delta Elite. Looking to start loading 10mm. Need some help here. 180gr FP or HP. I have the load data. Want to know your best loads.

This will mainly be a range toy, not for competition or anything.

I mainly load with Titegroup for other calibers, so I have tons of Titegroup. But have heard Titegroup is not ideal for 10mm. Has anyone had good luck running Titegroup with 180gr FP or HP? What is your load?

How about with 800x? What is your best load with 800x?

I generally prefer a medium power load. To minimize flash and recoil.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The only reason Titegroup may not be ideal for 10mm is the lower velocity but if you're just plinking you'll be OK.

If you want to minimize recoil, I'd use a lighter bullet, 135gr vs 180gr, and run low/med data on the Titegroup.

I've loaded 10mm for my G20 with Titegroup but really prefer Universal for plinking/target loads. For full power loads I like Longshot.

800X meters like cornflakes- I would expect erratic velocities due to variances in powder drops.
Link provided lists loads for Titegroup and 800X.

Titegroup is capable of very good accuracy with reduced loads. I use it in 9 mm range ammo.
The Hornady "HAP" bullet is 1" @ 25 yds. (benched) with Titegroup.
It would NOT be my top choice for moderate to hot loads however.

I used to try to consolidate powders across calibers but I found you're compromising good loads for the sake of having less powder on the shelf. What's the point? To save space? Powder is cheap & plentiful right now.
I use Power Pistol for medium to hot 10mm loads. Blue Dot for low to medium power loads.
My Power Pistol load is 9.5gn of PP, 180gn FMJ seated to 1.25 yields an ave vel=1343fps
My medium/hot practice load is 10.6 Blue Dot seated to 1.25 = 1272fps.
    Both shot from a 6" G20.

These are over max loads. As always, work your way up.

Unfortunately, yes, I am running out of space. I load everything and am a hoarder so I stock up huge on what I end up going with. have way too much stuff. Trying to see if Its worth working with titegroup, or if I should just pick up new powder (800x and etc) to get a better load.

I mean, I guess I can always find room to store. May have to invade wife's space further that's all lol.

I run Longshot, Blue Dot, Aa#9. 800x is good for heavy loads but each charge has to be individually weighed cause it like potatoe chips and doesn't meter well.

Of the two, I'd go with TG but understand it'll be a 40 S+W +P loading, 1050-1100 with 180+ projos. The powder is too quickfor the heavier bullets but according to data is OK in the 135-155 weight classes. I generally run 180-220s, Blue dot with cast 180s about 1150 and full power with #9 and getting ready to try LS.
