I have both cans, and the MINI has a different baffle design than the RC, that I can see literally just by looking at it. It is my OPINION that the RC was shooting for .300WM contract use, and that it was designed to deal with those pressures, so it may explain why it's not so hot on .308 (meters in the mid 140's on independent tests I've seen, although SF claims lower).

I'm pretty sure silencer review, NFA forum, or silencer tests reviewed the older style mini at least. You are right, the 762-RC sounds best with higher pressure rounds. It is laughably loud with 300blk subs.
ETA: I'm willing to speculate thar the 762-mini was designed for the SCAR Heavy SBR, and the 130gr. bullet used by SOCOM.
