I run these on several rigs and like them a lot. They don't cool down as fast but it really doesn't matter to me. They handle the mirage thing on my LMT where I used to get eaten alive on extended shootings. On Bolt guns they might be overkill, but I still like them. I beat my 308's up pretty good, so the extra protection from mirage is a good thing.

Two different setups I'm trying out. Wondering if the 1-6 glass can get me out to 1000

Good looking rig. Yea you can hit 1k with the 6X. Not too much of a stretch. You can see it OK with a 4X ACOG, but no windage holds kills you. And the ACOG only calibrates to 800 if my memory serves me. Should make it fun. Just make sure you are throwing 175's, the 168's will a lot of times crap out while the 175's make it every time for us.

SR25 APC, MK6 3-18, Geissele Mount, KAC Bubble Level, KAC Bipod. Have the KAC MAMS I just installed and the 30 cal QDC can is in jail.

I run similar combinations. For APC's, I prefer the FH. For the ACC's, I prefer the MAMS. The FH groups are better, which is good for a precision gun. The MAMS helps you to get back on target quick, which is better for how I run my ACC's.

Nice rifle. Seeing a lot more of these setups showing up now they have been out for a few years. The Mk6 is a great choice for the APC.

I will second Tom12.7 statement above about the FH lending better accuracy over the MAMS. I removed the MAMS from my APC and put the FH back on. And it's always covered up with my QDC can so that was even more reason.

These APC rifles shoot extensionally well. Shooting plate a 550m the other day and went 20/20 hits. Gets boring almost.... Well, not really.
