A few ounces 😂. But then their barrel nut would have to be different

Can't see any of the pics, but I went over the rifle in detail at SHOT with Frank.

The Revolution is an AR15 chambered in .308 Winchester. The upper receiver and bolt carrier are the exact same ones he used in other AR15s of recent production. He said there are 9 parts that are different than his AR15s, including the magazine. The lower receiver, barrel, bolt, barrel extension, and muzzle device are clearly different parts than on an AR15. Not sure about the buffer and recoil spring, but I would expect them to be. .308 Win. has a lot of gas volume.

He moved the FCG backwards inside the lower by about .6", to accommodate the magazine well. I think he's using a firing pin with a longer tail to keep the same bolt carrier.

Barrel extension has one of the teeth removed to accommodate the extractor, which is a lot fatter than an AR15 extractor. Bolt looks like it's made from Aermet to me.

The chamber wall is reinforced with press-fit into the upper and the aluminum barrel nut/heat sink, which is where a lot of people will cock an eyebrow.

I noticed in the testing that they are using Wolf steel case ammo, which is notably under-powered and has been that way forever.

He also demonstrated subsonic .308 use with it with making no changes to the gun.

I'm curious how well durable this set will be.
I would like to see a FA version of this

The Revolution uses AR15 diameter bolts and barrel extensions inside of an AR15 upper receiver.

Nobody makes a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel inside of an AR15 barrel extension that I know of.

The bolt, extractor, lower receiver, barrel extension, and barrel are unique to the Revolution.

Thanks for that clarification! Guess I'll wait to find another lightweight solution. I have a scar but that recoil and boomerang is unpleasant to say the least and will preclude me from using thermals. Was hoping this could be a replacement but with some modularity.

If someone were to make a 6.5 creedmore ar15, wouldn't it have to be an ar10 platform?
6.5 Grendel could be used in a ar15 platform
