8k of 300 win mag is impressive under any conditions. So hats off to you. It is unfortunately not mine. Belongs to a good friend I train and hunt with, who transferred it through my shop. He has about 300 rds (180gr Winchester, suppressed) through so far, and it only keeps shooting better.

Almost done with a 6.5 Grendel. Aero Precision Texas Edition receivers, Odin Works 18” barrel and bcg, Lancer stock and AP Customs handguard. The Furniture is okay but can’t really say I like it, so I’ll probably change it out.

yes, we can have nice things in California, too....

Upper Assembly: Palmetto State Armory (PSA)/Magpul
    - Caliber: 7.62x39mm
    - Muzzle Device: Northern Gun Parts thread protector (featureless)
    - Barrel: PSA 16", 1 in 10" twist, chrome moly vanadium
    - Gas System: Carbine
    - Front Sight: PSA .750" diameter F-marked front sight base
    - Handguard: Magpul M-LOK, carbine length
    - Upper Receiver: PSA, has M4 feedramp cuts
    - Bolt Carrier Group (BCG): PSA, 7.62x39 bolt with AR47 extended length firing pin, phosphate coated
    - Charging Handle: PSA
    - Rear Sight: Magpul Back-Up Sight (MBUS)

    Lower Assembly: Aero Precision/PSA/Magpul
    - Caliber: Multi
    - Stripped Lower Receiver: Aero Precision
    - Lower Build Kit: PSA/Magpul MOE
    - Grip: Exile Machine hammerhead stock adapter/grip (featureless)
    - Stock: Magpul CTR carbine stock, mil-spec, pinned with AIM Sports Inc Magpul Stock Lock Pin (SLP) (featureless)
    - Magazine: C Products, 10-round steel magazine

Yeah, but does it shoot? I was skeptical of the AR-15 chambered in 7.62x39mm, but I wanted to give it a shot (no pun intended). Thankfully, PSA took care of the biggest reliability issues with its complete upper/proprietary BCG:
    - bigger gas port
    - M4 feed ramps
    - extended firing pin

Here is the positive feedback on that complete upper with BCG-- 5.0 out of 5.0 stars based on 130 reviews:
    http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-p...ng-handle.html

I took care of the final reliability issue with a C Products 10-rounder:
    - reliable 7.62x39 STANAG magazine

Here is the positive feedback on that magazine-- 4.8 out of 5.0 stars based on 11 reviews:
    https://www.opticsplanet.com/c-produ...ess-steel.html

I gave this rifle the crummiest test I could think of: steel-cased Wolf ammo. I fired 20 rounds each of 123gr HP and 124gr FMJ (40 rounds total), and had no issues -- no light strikes, no failures to eject (FTE)/failures to feed (FTF), nothing:

I understand that there is some skepticism of the AR15 chambered in this caliber. I honestly think that a lot of those fears are based off of secondhand/older internet rumors, but I get that some of you have gotten burned/learned the hard way.

Guess I've lucked out thus far....
