    Range Bags

What's everyone using for a range bag?

I've got the S.O. Tech Gorilla bag, and it's a bit too big for what I really need. I'm selling it in EE and downsizing. Any suggestions?

I'm looking for something quality, preferably in nylon without a lot of padding.

This is the one; carries almost everything I need for an afternoon at the range, including 2 handguns. And for under $30 too.

The advice above is worth exactly what you paid for it.

I use the MidwayUSA Competition Range Bag, although they have a few sizes that go on sale pretty regularly.

Sounds like you are looking for smaller stuff but this is what I use. I have the older model before they changed names. I like it because I can put just about everything in it and go:

Second on this one. I don't know who makes it for them, it seems to be sold under numerous brands. Midway generally has them priced as low or lower than anyone.

I've been giving it a pretty good workout since I've retired and no longer have a 'locker' at the range. I had a tendency to overload it by carrying to much ammo, so now I carry my ammo in a check harbor freight tool bag.

    It is well-made.

I have one of the Midway bags too. They're nice but if you're looking to downsize, that's probably not the bag for you... they're huge.

I had won both a medium & large Flambeau floating blind bag from a DU banquet. On the rare occasion I'm shooting somewhere other than on my own property, I'm using one of those.

I've got one of those Midway bags (actually an earlier iteration of it) and it has held up amazingly well. My only grip is one that's self inflicted. It's way too easy to carry too much junk in it.

I actually went back to my old (smaller) "Tac Force" range bag that gets toted around at matches with a 30cal ammo can. Everything else goes into a 32 gallon action packer.

Vism, got it for next to nothing and does the job.
