    Criterion was mentioned. That is a great barrel. If you are looking for a good balance of quality and price, I would encourage you to look at some of the barrels custom made by CLE.

    CLE (Custom Lake Enginering) make great barrels our of Criterion blanks, Douglas Bartlein and others. If you can find a LaRue in .308, that is good as well. That would have to be second hand, as LaRue does not sell their .308 barrels outright, like they do the 5.56 (and what a deal that barrel is at $225).

    SMOS arms was turning some 308 barrels (I believe Shilen blanks) would be worth checking into. I have done a few builds for friends using Ballistic Advantage and we shot them out to 700 yards beside my KAC SR25 and It was very impressive.
