Long Time AR Builder, First Time AR9 Builder

Here is the link for the buffer:

Do I need a different buffer or spring?

What would you do differently, or does everything look pretty good?

The purpose of this build is to be a plinker at the range to go with my 9mm Glocks.

It may work, but probably not reliably.

    Recommend getting a 9mm buffer

    And 9mm buffer spacer

    Ordered. Thank you.

Anyone make an affordable 14.5" barrel?

14.5" or 16" barrel ruins the point of an AR9.

Yeah I was thinking of going with a pistol configuration.

Sign up for Spinta Precision's daily e-mails. They always run deals. Or Joe Bobs had short barrel 9mm barrels.

I built a 16"for a buddy and it was really light weight.

    I run a 8.5" barrel on mine.

See the link above, to me you don't gain much after 9"

Will these work in a pistol buffer?

I'd go with a 16" barrel, as only 15" sticks out past the upper.

You don't need both a 9mm buffer and 9mm spacer, the 9mm buffer is longer than a carbine buffer. I would suggest a .308 carbine spring to go along with that 9mm buffer though.
