Does anyone offer a CAR stock clone?

I'm thinking of building my next build as a copy of the M4 I carried in Iraq and up until I retired. Oddly enough my M4 as issued to me had the CAR stock and not the M4 stock. So, does anyone currently offer this type of stock in mil-spec size (or even commercial if it comes down to that)? And it was plastic, not the aluminum type.

No info on the company, but a quick look around is what I saw.

M&A Parts sells the actual stock separately if that's the only piece you need.

You guys are awesome. My googlefu must be getting weak. I got nothing but histories and pictures when I searched. That is exactly what I'm looking for.

This is who I get my CARs stock from. I have bought several from them. They are good stuff.

Here's another site. They offer them in aluminum as well as other parts:

Fair warning, the Model 1 stock is a Commercial tube--Barry at CombatPrep.com tells me that while they have more of theirs on backorder, the manufacturer is backlogged with higher-demand items, and now I can't even find the product page to link for reference, and I'm not sure if those are Commercial or Milspec tubes either. Leapers makes a plastic (IIRC) Commercial... but I'm not sure how far I'd trust it even though I have one of their optic risers on my AR. And Tony at Tony's Custom tells me he does sell the stock bare, though I forgot to ask if it was Commercial or Milspec.

Don't know if they're still cranking out fresh, but I know Diemaco was cranking out a lot of 'em long after Colt went to the modern M4 because for some reason the Canadian military preferred the old style. Maybe Troy has a few extras from their XM177/GAU-5 replica runs...

Not an expert, just been doing some looking into this myself. Hope some of this helps.

EDIT: FOUND IT, and it's Mil-Spec! http://www.combatprep.com/XM177-STYL...CK-p/j1122.htm They've got a waiting list already started for the next batch.

How do the polymer/fiberlite car stocks compare to the original aluminum ones?
