    Glock single stack musings

Last year I picked up a Glock G43 and am loving it.
Now that Glock has pulled its head out of its behind on a single stack 9mm, it sparked my imagination.
Surely I wouldn't be the only person interested in a single stack .45 ACP and 10mm?

It would slim up the grip and profile significantly on the .45 and 10mm, even more so than on the 9mm.
Hell, even a full size single stack would be pretty cool. I'd be all over that. It'd be like a Glock 1911.

They have been making a single stack 45 ACP for years. I've owned a G36 since 2000. It only holds 6 + 1 so a lot of people don't care for it but it's a very concealable and accurate firearm.

You know about the 36 right? 10mm single stack would be interesting

Nope, I did NOT know about the G36.
That's definitely news to me. Honestly never heard of it before.
I thought the 42 and 43 were their first single stack offerings.

A full size single stack in .45 and 10mm would be very neat though.

I would buy one of each in a heartbeat.

The new 30S essentially takes the thinner slide of the 36 and the double stack frame of the 30

The Glock 36 is surprisingly controllable for a small 45. I would prefer shooting a G36 over any 3.5" 1911.

Think of it as a thicker G19 in size. Nice gun to shoot, actually.

The 30S is virtually the exact same size as a 19/23.

I think the Glock 43 should have been made the same width as the Glock 42. I can live with a longer grip and longer slide on the Glock 43, but it should have been made narrower. I would be inclined to carry a Glock 19 in preference to a Glock 43.

A SS, Full-sized Glock 9mm would be the only thing that would prompt me into buying new holsters...

    19 is 1.18
    43 is 1.02
    42 is 0.94

I held the 42 and there's not enough material. It's too small and slim to comfortably grab and shoot. Even 43 isn't that good but it's better than the 42. I'd need to add a rubber grip on the 42 which obviously defeats the purpose. I agree, I'd rather carry the 19 and I do but when I need something slimmer and lighter I carry the 43.
