Need some advice please, UID tags for Colt M4's

I just finished a run of UID data plates for a local Police Dept. These are the same as the ones on the M4's used by our government. They are metal data plates that are laser engraved with a QR code that is information from the gun.

I had thought about doing a few of these for the board if there was enough interest. I am not soliciting, I am just trying to mark interest in these. So a quick yea/nay, do you think these would sell for $10 each plus say $1 shipping? Let me know how you feel about the price, truthfully that is as cheap as I can go. That's why I wonder if it is worth my time. I am asking because it would take a run of 30-40 to break even.

These would be customized to the three lines of data from your own rifle. For example mine has a Colt cage code, M4 Carbine under part# and then my serial#. They will scan with a QR reader and show whatever information the qr code is programmed with.

Here is what they look like. (Of course I can do the FNH (square UID) or the Sig Mk25 type small code.

    Attachment 44806

Please note I am not soliciting, I would have to become a sponsor and purchase more tags. I am just checking interest and if the price is feasible if I did a run of them for the public. I buy the tags in bulk and truthfully the feedback for a public run is all I am after at the moment.

Similarly not committing, but would be interested in principle. Problem would be figuring out Line 1, as neither Anderson (lower manufacturer) nor myself have CAGE codes. lol

    Good luck with your project!

Then again, that third line could be the perfect fix for figuring out how to quickly and cheaply tag that one lower I forgot to complete as a pistol first and henceforth can only legally be used for 16"-rifle builds without fighting with NFA paperwork...

If available to the public, I would be interested in at least two.

It doesn't have to say a cage code though, it can be anything at all. That is the beauty of it. If someone wanted it to say "Anderson Manufacturing" or anything, it is possible.

The only limitation is the size of the aluminum plates. They can vary in size depending on what is needed to say on it. Laser like the one I own can write as fine as a human hair.

I would be in for one or two. I just finished my OIF M4 clone of the rifle I carried on my first deployment. The only thing missing is the burst cam and UID tag
