    Geissele Mk1 light mount

I have been looking for a way to mount a light to a Mk1 hand guard without using a 1913 rail section and an additional mount on that. Geissele used to make a kit, but it is no longer in production. I found that an Arisaka in-line scout mount for Troy/VTAC Alpha (with Alpha slots) works without modification. It uses a back plate, which makes it a bit more difficult to install than m-lock or keymod because it requires access to the back of the hand guard. However, I was able to install the mount at the front without removing the hand guard. This mount works with Surefire Scout, Streamlight protac rail, and Arisaka 300/600 lights.
This mount allows running an M4SDII and looks to have plenty of room for different type suppressors.

Your title makes it sound like Geissele just released a light mount....

That's exactly what I thought. I was thinking to myself; how did I miss that!?!

I can see the confusion. I can't see how to change the title, though. It should probably read, "Arisaka scout light mount that will fit Geissele Mk1."

Awesome Will@Arisaka got ahold of me and got a VTAC mount in stock with the light I wanted.

I ordered it today and hopefully it mounts up correctly like yours.

I've been looking for something similar but need to mount it next to a peq-15. Curious if you have an atpial laying around that you could throw on top? Or can you tell if it'd fit or not?

I wasn't aware that the Geissele mount was no longer in production since I thought they were still commonly used on their HK rail.

Well the VTAC light mount will not work on my MK1. The slots on my rail are way to small and the raised tabs will. It fit down into the slots on the rail.

My MK-1 is also a different Version then yours but the slots look the same.

Anyway you can measure the slots on yours with a set of calibers?

Do you have the VTAC Alpha (with Alpha slots)? Are you trying to mount it on the 45 deg slots?

I measure the 45 deg slots as 1.3125" long and 0.3125" wide.
