Same on my 11.5" SBR. I use an offfset at 10:30 on my 16", as I don't want to use a tape switch and my arms aren't that long.

X300U-B at 12 o'clock is an easy day.

    I also have a 11.5" with KMR10. I run a X300 at 3 o'clock. My middle finger easily activates the light switch.

The pictures on that page show how the light will look mounted on a KMR from the front and sides (very tight with the rail).
I use this same setup on the same upper. But, I also have a WML on a DD 16" with picatinny rail on a Thorntail mount. This might work for you but I haven't used it on the KMR. http://www.haleystrategic.com/weapon...t-mount-offset

^^This or arisaka defense offset with their scout light. Both options work awesome.

So I got the BCM Keymod mount to put the light at a 45 degree off set. New problem is my front iron has to be moved farther back. I like this mount better https://arisakadefense.com/collectio...y-mount-keymod can I could possibly give a greater distance between the light and the iron (magpul). It's not a huge deal that back up iron is closer to the center of the rifle but I've always like to keep the longest sight radius.

Kinda of silly for long sight radius on a SBR, no?

On my SBR (11.5 BCM), I have the X300 at 12, then 3 empty rail spaces for my thumb, then Magpul Pro front sight.

I'm not overly concerned about a shorter sight radius for backup sights to an Aimpoint T-2 - like an inch more or less sight radius is going to make a diffference from 0-50m, likely the longest range I could even anticipate using it for serious purposes.

This works well. I just from the setup you have to a tape switch where my light used to be and a Mini Scout mounted on the opposite side. Very comfortable and easy to use.
