New Glocks this summer

I'm not an engineer or a professional gunsmith, but that slide stop looks totally incompatable with the OEM Gen 1-4 extended slide stop...

Any idea if/when Glock will come up with a Gen 5 extended slide stop? I'll be waiting for .40 versions, anyway, but I'm morbidly curious.

If Glock ever gets out of the 9mm platforms with the Gen 5, I bet .40 will be the last models they get to.

Wouldn't they do .40s first, since they're basically on the same frame, and the slides are basically the same?

The 10/.45s are completely different, and the .380 already has Gen 5 features.

Will they have to add back the 3rd pin to .40 and 10mm models? They removed it for the g17's and g19's.

.40's were the last out in Gen 4. I know our local LE rep is pushing to get as many agencies out of .40 as possible, as quick as possible.

It does fall in line of why they went back to a 2 pin.

With bullet technology in this age I see no reason to own a .40,sold them off awhile ago


However...the MHS pistol was a .40 so maybe at some point? Your guess is good as mine

Oh no! I have nothing against .40 it's a proven round

9 just does the job and I can reload it cheaper

I haven't looked that close at the mechanics of the ambi slide stop yet, but am guessing the locking block pin would interfere with it. Just guessing though.

Added tru glo tritium pros and vickers mag release. Ran 500 rounds today with no issues. I am enjoying it a bunch so far.

The Vickers slide stop works with no issues? If so, then that's encouraging as I don't know if I'm yet sold on the feel of the release also being on the right of the pistol.
