    Wow LDM, We are neighbors. I am going to work on a full front strap over the weekend. I am not sure anymore what a gunsmith charges to texture a front strap, but I think the laser would be a cheaper alternative. I will play around with a checkering pattern and more to see the time and labor involved.

    That's really cool. I'd love something simple like inverted chevrons or something similar.

    Doing the whole front strap with a laser might mirror the appearance of the grip tape people put there while offering a more permanent and visually pleasing solution.

    I could see that also being a great alternative for the Browning Hi-Power pistols...
