I own a Beta AR jacket from them and have been less than pleased by the company. I had a tear in my sleeve after owning it for a few months. I sent it in and paid to have it fixed since ArcTeryx doesn't warranty tears. Nevermind the fact the customer service rep accused me of burning the hole.

A few years later I had a pocket zipper blow out that caused the jacket to rip all the way through. I brought it to the local ArcTeryx store to have it sent in for repairs. The store held onto the jacket for about a month before actually mailing it. After my jacket finally arrived for repairs it had to wait a couple more weeks because they were going through pallets of broken ArcTeryx gear. Not good to hear that so much of their gear is breaking.

Positive note to the story was customer service did come through for me and gave me a new Beta AR jacket. Fingers are crossed that this one won't have issues like my last one.

    Never heard of it.
Anyways, I have a good amount of Arc'teryx outdoor gear and LEAF gear. Yes, it costs a lot of money, but it is great quality, long lasting and has a great warranty. I find that their insulated items are warmer with less weight than similar products also.
For LEAF I get mine from US Elite gear (Veteran owned).

I only wear it off duty aside from one jacket, but I've had nothing but good luck from the 'dead bird'. Some of the light shells I have defy the laws of physics they are so light, yet keep me warmer than much heavier jackets. Similarly I have some items from Patagonia DOD contracts that are outstanding for what they are (rain gear in a color I call wet concrete hehe)

You were issued the Infiltrator line, or just Outdoor Research stuff in general? What did y'all not like about what was issued?

For those that don't know, Outdoor Research has pushed out military products for some time now; they also have a fantastic pro deal, though a fair number of the military products are not covered under that pro deal.

It was the Foray. Their lightweight military line jacket comparable in the to the Beta.

Yeah I know. Slow shipping and a bunch of extra bullshit fees though.

The LT stuff ain't in stock in my size (I've been checking the website very regularly), and the discount is fairly shit compared to the pro deals of various other companies, to be candid. Not complaining about the latter, just don't think that the LEAF discount is really anything to note.
