I don't want a monolithic upper because none are configured the way I want it, they are expensive and I don't want any type of metallic handguard on my rifles.

Has Colt been threatened with a lawsuit over their monolithic design? Or is this speculation? My speculation is monolithic uppers simply don't sell well

Is there really a high demand for monolithic uppers? I think most people would rather be able to choose their handguard without changing the whole upper assembly.

I already have quick change. Pull two pins and replase the upper. Bonus, the appropriate optic is already zeroed on the upper.

But really the premise of needing that capability is marketed more than needed.

Yes! Them LMT MRP are amazing. I just wish the LM8 had MLOK and that LMT offered some lightwer-weight profile barrel options (with a E3 barrel extension while I am dreaming )

This is my biggest thing...they make lightweight barrels for their 7.62, but not for their 5.56 line. If they offered a lightweight barrel option, I'm sure it would sell like hotcakes.

Most current handguards are garbage. Probably 90 to 95% of the FF handguards on the market.

Since we are in the tech forum, it would be cool if you quantified that. What issues have been shown to be attributed to handguards? Specifically kac, bcm, centurion, and DD ff handguards.

I'm assuming Giessie and hodge are your 5%?

That's got to be a typo. If not, I'd like to know as well.

I'd like to know more about this as well.
