I run the I dot operator pros. I like a rear reference (minimal). U notch rear as well. I use the front circle all the time except for specific lighting conditions, and don't like the round sight in square hole.

Op, you kind of answered your own question, that it is personal preference. But to add to dog pile, on my EDC 19 I also have Hackathorns. They work for me. The HDs are also pretty nice, I am eyeying their newer version with slimmer front post for my 17, which I am resisting slapping a magwell on and running it as a half assed comp gun with something like the 21rd Magpul mags as the short mags in. I may need to invest in a 34 or a 17L in that regard. Trij and Ameriglo are both good brands.

Giving the Heinie Straight Eight Ledge sights a go. They use the I dot tritium set up

I use Hacks. They're great defensive sights and I've pulled 3-4" 5 rounds groups out of them at 25 yards, although not consistently (due to me not the sights). Something with a thinner front post may allow a more consistent precise sight picture for me. I like the Defoors for that reason but I'd also like something with luminescent paint or tritium on the front post (not at the bottom of the post) to allow rapid sight acquisition for defensive use as well. Any ideas?

I put regular Trijicon green night sights on all my Glock's so far, G22, G26, G27 (traded for G26), G34. I was thinking of trying the new Trijicon HD sights on my new G19. Being that they're all carry guns I might just stay with the regular Triji's on the new one to keep them all the same. I typically go with "Keep It Simple Stupid" process so everything looks and feels the same. That just works for me.

I have Trijicon HDs on a HK P2000 and SK. I like them very well but the oversized thickness of the front sight blade is noticeable on such short barrels. I think I will switch them out for the new thinner versions. All aside, great sights tho. Very bright and easy to pick up.
