I'd suggest rather than Rem oil you use a degreaser/cleaner - mineral spirits, acetone, brakecleaner, etc.

That is a rec of MA, at least before they banned all ARs. There's never been a recorded attack or death of a bayonet attached to an AR in MA, but it's damn scary looking, so has to go. Of all the recs, like 10 mag limit, no folding stock and such, the bayonet lug thing the least offensive, but still complete BS.

I was wondering about that and wonder if the same is true for the rest of the country as well.
