    Tactical practical?

I had purchased a couple stripped lowers from sionics and parts kits. They are amazing by the way!

This was my first endeavour into building a stripped lower, it was definitely a lot easier then I expected and was an amazing learning experience.

I wanted to build an irons only rifle for something different and to have something I can throw in the truck and not worry about it getting banged around.

    Upper: Colt 6920
    DD omega 12 FSP
    DD BCG
    colt carry handle

Lower: Sionics stripped lower, deluxe parts kits.
    BCM A5 buffer system
    B5 SOPMOD butt stock.

    Light: streamlight tlr-1

    Sling: 2 point vickers tactical

I test fired 20 rounds for function, I plan on getting it sighted in and ready to go this weekend.

Over all I really love how this rifle turned out and can't wait to run it through its paces!

Cool. I'd chop the carry handle and throw an Aimpoint on there. You still wouldn't have to worry about it getting banged around!

Technically this is going to be my son's rifle. That is several years out and who knows what we will have for optics then!

Nice quality build, it should last you and your son a lifetime. Did you have the DD Omega laying around, or did you find a source for one? I only ask because I've been trying to track one down for quite a while.

Did a trade on the EE for the upper and he had just put it on.

On my DD upper I bought that one like 4 years ago.

I wish I had a source on them, they are my favorite rail.
