that was always my impression too but then just the other week i saw a post from a guy that down loaded a mk318 bullet and shot it into gel from an SBR and the result was a mushroomed bullet. i think the velocity was 1800.

The result would be crummy accuracy, as most 7.62X39 barrels are .311 bore. The Mk319 is a .308 bullet.
