Did you choose the NT4 MAMS because you already had an NT4 or do you prefer it over the QD MAMS? What is your reasoning?

Yet another vote for MAMS, but don't listen to me, listen to Jack.

Jack, how does the NT4 MAMS compare to the Triple Tap?

I second this. I have the same setup on one of rifles and the PWS is rough for other shooters on the firing line. With that said it does do a good job of eliminating barrel rise and keeps the muzzle flat. I would go a different direction if I was to rebuild that upper today.

Why I went with the M4QD MAMS:
1: I like the aesthetics
2: It was new and I wanted to have significant experience with it before discussing it with customers.
3: It costs $100 less than the standard 5.56 MAMS
4: I have a nostalgic soft spot for the NT4
5: I do not personally own a 5.56 QDC suppressor (as I have a nostalgic soft spot for the NT4), and only have so much disposable income to devote to suppressors.

Very favorably in the cost:benefit equation.
I really like that I can pin and weld the M4QD MAMS on a 14.5 and meet the >16" requirement (wink, wink).
I have a couple of questions for you OP.
1. Is this muzzle device going to be pinned or will this upper be SBR'd?
2. Like VIP3R 237 asked - are you going to suppress this weapon? But based on the MD's you've listed I'd probably bet that you are not suppressing it. Or maybe I'm wrong.
3. Why isn't the MAMS on your short list?
If you're going to pin & weld wouldn't you want to go with a MAMS? Aesthetically and from the viewpoint of salable/value?

I really like the NT-4, it is dated though. It's built like a tank and pretty much user proof for most with 3 digits in their IQ. I've put a lot of rounds through them with belt fed guns down them without killing them.
That said, I would really like to see a KAC solution to a similar muzzle device that mounts similar to the M110 FH onto older legacy platforms that use the shortened M110 versions of that can, 16" BR, MK11 carbine, EMC, etc.. Similar to what has been done for the NT-4.
KAC won't sell millions of them obviously, but I would be down for 10 or so for myself, probably 25 for others.
So how difficult is it to remove the muzzle device from a sr-15 mod2 mlok upper?

Easy with the KAC BE tool and a quality open ended wrench.
For the OP, sorry about my rant, but I would not exclude the MAMS as an option.
