I would say MAMS. If your budget doesn't allow, then the AFAB would be my second choice if not running a suppressor.

Pretty sure a standard geissle rod will work also. But not vice versa with the KAC one.

I've seen a few that did work, but most would not. Use the KAC tool.

I work for Knight's, and I could put literally any of our super-duper muzzle devices on my guns, and my 14.5 SR-15 wears one of these (pinned and welded).
Here she is with an NT-4:


It's not the least expensive brake/FH in the world, but it is highly effective, not as blasty as most others, mounts an NT4, and is a KAC product (which keeps your warranty in-tact with no justification needed as long as the installer doesn't screw anything up).

Ya know, going back to this I wish there was an NT4 CQB in existence.

Back in the day, they decided not to make the NT3 a commercial product. I wish they did, but that's what regular consumers are dealt with.
