What have you done to your AR(s) today?

I built up a Charles Daly Defense lower I've had in my safe for years. I had all of the parts minus a bolt catch and a magazine release button. I ordered these today. The fit was wicked tight. This is the second lower I've had to use tools to assemble or disassemble. I might rob a mag release button from another gun so I can shoot this gun tomorrow. I'm looking forward to trying the midlength upper and A5 lower.


I got my hands on a mag release and installed a BCM Mod 3 grip. I immediately didn't like the grip angle when I picked it up. I'll give it a try but think I am going to be selling this and using a A2 grip or getting a MOE. I backed out the buffer tube and now the gun goes together and comes apart easily. The A5 buffer tube was on far enough the top was interfering with the fit.

I shot my two RECCEs a good bit this morning. Pushed a couple patches with Kroil down the bores, put 'em back in the safe.

HD AR is out of the safe near the bed.

Pulled a bore snake through the barrel and closed it back up. Ready for the next 1000 rounds.

Took the 15 inch keymod off sold it for 200 and put my new 13 inch MCMR bcm on. I love it.

Recently purchased a Colt LE6920-R Trooper for what I believe is a decent "today" price (739.99 shipped). This was in response to a thread regarding the rifle I found in this forum weeks ago. Thanks guys (lol). During holiday sales I purchased a Vortex Sparc AR w/ flip-mount VMX-3T magnifier. Stepped out back moments ago and fire off 20 rounds on my 20 meter pistol range. Just fam-firing; not yet zeroed. Seems like a very nice little rifle for the money. I have a hundred meters marked off along the house for initial optics setting but can't fire there. Though I still have my 20/10 vision, a little magnification never hurts and I was able to appreciate the 3x. Believe this will be a nice set up.
