Temporarily installed fresh-off-truck LAW folder, found out I need to carve about 1/8" off the rear beavertail on my grip and that I can't use the SB pouch with a 40-rounder in the rear unless I cut the back open--the feedlips on a 40 Pmag need to be about 1/4"-5/16" behind the SBM4's rear to have room around the grip for even my small hand. Ordered a 10-round Pmag to complete the onboard mag suite... Pic later, maybe--right now I got a column to write I really don't wanna.

Rethought and rearranged things a little.
    • Swapped some rail sections around on right side and bottom.
    • Moved low-power red LED light to top-left slant, now planning to use Mossie for laser.
    • Repositioned "blinder" light to right-side rail ahead of thumbrest, eliminating need for top-right slant.

I wish I had something to report. I have been dormant lately when it comes to doing anything to an AR. I have been accumulating parts for a couple retro builds. I have everything with exception to the upper and lower receivers (on order from Nodak Spud) and the charging handle (also on order from Nodak Spud). It may be sometime during late spring or early summer before I can get these items and get those two clones built.

I did the most important thing you can do to an AR yesterday and today.

    Shoot and train with it.

Went out to the woods and did some shooting in the snow. 10.5" AR pistol, 16" carbine and about 20, 30 round mags between me and my son.

No mortal is deserving of your inventory. Just stop it.

Not me, but my gunsmith called bearing bad news about my upper. Index pin on barrel (removed from old upper) was found sheared, so need to replace pin. Adding more time and costs to my build.
