    The difference is that the SiCo, the body of the suppressor is the serial part. And on the DD they can do what they do because the mount will not unscrew from the suppressor...
    Based on the ATF's requirements I can see where they're going with this. Didn't realize the guidance was just to have that information anywhere on the can and not the body alone.

    The Collar of the Suppressor is the serialized part and cannot be easily removed. If the suppressor reaches the end of it's lifecycle, you have a baffle strike, or if there is a manufacturing defect with the tube/baffles, you can send it back to us and we can remove the tube and put a new one on the mounting collar.

    Ok, great. But it's not end user configurable which would be nice.
