New law kills small guys. https://www.nraila.org/articles/2017...ose-gun-stores
SAI and RRA exempts out with a small fee. Great companies that screw the working man. Just disappointed by the whole conundrum.

Not sure how SAI and RRA are screwing the working man as the legislation adds onerous new regulations on FFLs. If the legislation becomes law, places like Gander Mountain and Bass Pro would be exempt.

Really? Illinois has a lot of serious problems the Chicago Democrats assault freedom on an almost daily basis. How about the people here continue to engage politically in the effort to keep our freedoms secure? With the exception of a machine gun, I can own any AR I choose. We have S hall issue CCW that exempts the holder from the ridiculous Chicago/Cook County bans on assault weapons (like evil Glock) and high capacity magazines. While we can't legally own suppressors, their is a big effort to make those legal for hunting.

Keep fighting the good fight but you have far less rights than you think. After moving out of the state 15 years ago and still having friends there; gun and knife laws suck. The whole FOID card is total BS and a massive infringement on your 2nd Ammendment rights. Can't even buy ammo without one. IL is right up there with CA & NJ not to mention some of the highest taxes in the country. The whole state is ruled by the Madigan regime and will be for years to come. My advice is leave while you can and still get some value for you home. I know so many people trapped that want to leave but can't because their home values never came back after the crash but taxes sure did.

    Some light reading for you:

Because the OP doesn't have enough posts for GD, and wanted to skirt that restriction.
