    A2 sight

Maybe a stupid question but if I have a low pro gas block can I take my A2 sight and move it forward of the rail and re pin it? Just like having a solid front sight and the 6920 is a carbine gas system but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Yep, you can. That configuration's called a "Dissipator," and a couple companies have released a few variations on it.

I am not aware of DD every making a dissy barrel. Rumor is Faxon has one in the pipe. You cannot simply move your FSB and re pin it. Your FSB is .750 ID and the barrel forward of the original position is not. Dissipator barrels run a .750 gas block and a .650 FSB. If your 6920 barrel is in good shape it will be easy to sell on the EE. It wouldn't make $$$ sense to re profile your barrel even if it was possible. Buy a Dissy barrel with the FSB already pinned.
