    Recommendation for a semi-lightweight 18" precision barrel

Looking for recommendations for a semi lightweight 18" precision barrel for an SPR type build.

Willing to add weight for precision, but I want to avoid the 40+ oz full stainless barrel. Intent is to be able to fire 5-10 precision shots relatively quickly without much shift, but after that shift would be acceptable with the heat.

Proof research is obviously a contender, and while price isn't a driving factor, if I can get a good option in a non carbon fiber barrel for a lot less then Proofs $800 entry fee, I'm open to that.

    Thanks

31oz and balances precision and weight:

AR15 Performance (ARP ) 18" barrels appear to be 37oz and would be worth a look:

The Faxon Gunner 18" barrel is very light and fairly accurate, but much more biased towards light weight than 5-10 shot precision.

With many companies, "3 gun" will be the marketing name for the type of barrels you're seeking.

Personally I would buy a Centurion MK12 barrel and have Marvin Pitts Dimple Behind the gas block. That is what "I" would do.

Out of the all the barrels recommended the Criterion was found to be the most accurate.

Criterion makes a SPR lite barrel for Rainier Arms, which I have on the list to consider.
