I somehow managed to clip the upright for a shade on a friends. Must have just kissed it because it was still serviceable.
Why on Earth is shipping so expensive?!? I don't like putting some in the cart and seeing $50 for shipping...
I have a question for ya'll, I have downloaded some 62gn green tip. {The range where I am a member kinda frowns at using "penetratior" ammo, we have some steel framed target holders}The powder charge weights from sever 10 round averages is 27.2 or so, what do ya'll think of using the original powder to load under the 62gn Hornadys. Btw this was LC-08's, probably will drop the charge a few .1's to begin and work up.
If your rifle can shoot green tip safely, your rifle should not malfunction after you substitute the Hornaday 62grain bthp. With that being said, make sure you run the brass back through a sizing die (removing the decapping pin obviously). If you don't, you may have issues with not enough neck tension.
Dragging up an old thread here.... I'm looking to finally load these up, and the powders I have on hand are 4895, 4064, 3031, and Varget. Anyone have load data for the 62gr BTHP for any of these powders?

Thanks Mark, that was what I was leaning towards....4895 has been my powder of choice for the 55 gr blasters I load. I'll probably start at 24gr and ladder up from there to max.
It seems Mid South is the only place which has the bare bullets and Hornady will be selling a loaded round under their Frontier Cartridge Company line. Since it is not in their catalog, it makes me wonder if this bullet was a one time run for reloaders.
